OBSERVING MOVEMENT IN AU BON PAIN
Improving a campus favorite
Individual work completed in the course Environments Studio I.
Au Bon Pain, the on-campus restaurant and bakery, is a favorite among CMU students. However, long wait times, extraneous lines, and a confusing layout create much frustration among patrons. To improve the food buying experience, I studied how customers currently use the space and proposed an alternative layout that optimized for existing movement patterns.
